Inheriting the folk custom with the protest track, rock music has long been associated with political activism, and also adjustments in social attitudes to race, sex, and drug use, and is commonly viewed being an expression of youth revolt towards adult consumerism and conformity. At the same time, it has been commercially very prosperous, bringing
